Good day!!
It's been a long time since the last update, and I'm very sad that it's going to stay that way for a while longer... The truth is, I'm having problems with Game Maker; the graphics engine used for this project isn't performing very well
The current state of the game is a terrible block with the filters. I was counting on them to avoid further complicating the codes with thousands of sprites with different colors. Besides, I don't like the engine itself in the slightest, and its policies aren't going to let me grow in the long run
So, after much thought, I've decided to port the game to Unreal Engine 5. It's not the best engine for this game, but I've spent a long time learning how to use Unreal Engine and have gotten very used to its fluidity. I feel very comfortable with this graphics engine, and I think I'll be able to make Alchemy and Pomodoro a game that lives up to the original expectations
Working with the original graphics and maintaining the essence of the game, while also keeping the computer's resource consumption low.
As soon as I decided on the port, I started working. There's still work to be done, but you could say the "Alchemy and Pomodoro+" project has already begun
On the other hand, I no longer have a job, which makes my financial situation complicated... so I'm forced, and at the same time, motivated, to create a Patreon to find some solace and monetary encouragement to develop games
Without having a job to keep me busy, the development of the port will be smoother and faster, at least until I find a job that improves my financial situation
The patreon is not ready yet, it is something that came out suddenly as a response to my economic situation, however I have thought about posting all my progress there daily for those who support my work, in addition to being able to see the work that I have been working on for a long time from Unreal Engine, which was a project with which I learned a lot and that I have not published anything yet.
I hope to reach the current state of AaP in the UE5 version as soon as possible, as soon as I achieve this I will publish it immediately, unfortunately the web version will be outdated...
